The Bright Project
The designers at Hantu have been kept busy this month with a collaboration with Sheffield City Council and their Road Safety Campaign in league with Making South Yorkshire Roads Safer. We'd been approached to help design a small range of clothing prints that reflect a contemporary and younger edge to their message, the clothes would provide more a practical use than message with the idea of having reflecting vinyl added onto the garments to improve their visibility during night time, the idea being that cars head lights would bounce off the wearer and increase awareness on the road.
Hantu will be stocking these t-shirt in the Hantu Workshop and will be present during the campaigns event held at The Leadmill in Sheffield on Thursday 28th October. At the event there will be live drawing from Geo's Stars In Stripes group as well as demonstration stalls and from various other local businesses and entertainers.
Here's a sneak peek at the designs which Aaran and Geo have been working on for the campaign. From what you can see of the theme we've gone for a comic book approach where our characters are making the roads safer for you, we also thought having bright coloured prints on dark garments would be more effective for the designs themselves. The project leader, Laura Crofts has been brilliant to work with and we have much to thank her for as she's given us plenty of creative freedom over the course of the project. Either way we're pleased with the work so far, what do you think to it?
